Conceived in Buffalo and delivered in Hollywood, Gary is a native Angeleno with a 40-year career teaching at all grade levels, primary through high school, as well as college English. A writer, avid opera buff, amateur tennis player, and traveler, he enjoys exploring new places, listening to classical music, and delights in the triumphs of the latest generation.

Gary has written for permafrost, Blue Unicorn, Plains Poetry Journal, Weber Studies, The Clearing House, The Phi Delta Kappan, CQ: contemporary quarterly, English Journal, Thema, and more.
