He just doesn’t quit.
One of the most exciting moments in my long life was to see and hear him at a rally in Orange County. We were overflowing the tennis arena, crowded in the very back high up, where the enthusiasm swept up to us and swept us away.

We knew then, and the crowd knew it too, that he could have won, should have won, would have won, but he scared the DNC and they took him off the ballot and now we have to live with the result.
But he doesn’t quit. He’s rallying across the country, people to people, exactly the way Tim Walz is doing the same thing, meeting us where we live, sharing what we have in common, making even clearer the world we want to live in.

If I were religious, I’d recognize Bernie as a saint, build him an altar and light a candle. He’s a miracle of the purity of commitment, the integrity of truth.
I think I will go get a candle. I already have a match.
