there’s next door Brazil
I can’t forgive for cutting down
the rain forest
for pasture
for herds of beef
when earlier
they had enough
to put the beef in cans
and stamp them
inspection passed
and send them to my neighborhood
for quick Stroganoff
one can beef
one pint sour cream
most of one
envelope of dry onion soup
mushrooms not necessary
but better if we have them
and heat and stir
and spoon over pasta
any kind
spaghetti or shell
or even bow-tie pasta
ready in minutes
sure-fire fail-safe meal
so I like Brazil too
hope they get their act together
I have all the other ingredients
