I see it on television
every day
broadcasters and experts
gather around tables
and chew endlessly
the bits of pieces of shreds of news
they’ve already chewed to death
their teeth worn down
needing implants
trying to make a mouthful
small enough for us to swallow
but we need to chew it too
to get it down the gullet
so we need dentists too
and the dentists smile across the nation
and rake it in
