You were mean to me.
I felt bad.
You said, “No!”
You said, “Why would you even want to do that?”
You said, “You’re wrong!”
You said all the things
to make me feel bad.
You said, “No!”
I wanted to run away.
I wanted to go
in the sun
and burn up.
You brought me food
to show you were sorry.
I wouldn’t eat it.
You waited.
I waited.
You said, “Don’t be mad.”
You said, “I’m sorry I was mean.”
You brought me food again.
I ate some.
I couldn’t help it.
You know how I can eat.
I said, “I’m sorry.”
You said, “No, I’m sorry.”
I said, “I’m sorry I was mad.”
You said, “I’m sorry I was mean.”
We started to laugh.
We ate the food together.
