They’re clever about describing the way things are
but vague about what to do about it.
I’m tired of the clever intellectual
who without a plan is ineffectual.
I’m hyped up and ready to go.
It’s not enough to merely know.
I’m my own horse leading myself to water.
At least now I have a daughter.
No one else I think
could lead me to water and make me drink.
We all need more than talk.
I’m ready to walk.
