When the People in Power
release the restraints
of law and order
and decency and compassion
and common sense
and love of thy neighbor
they unleash a chaos
they don’t understand
either they were born mentally deficient
or never went to school
or didn’t learn enough
no wonder they won’t
release their transcripts
or medical records
or tell the truth
we may all be
in the same sinking boat
but we’re not all
on the same page
which someone has turned
and now I see the trash truck
coming down the street
to pick us up
