The Bandit Chief rode through the town.
“Meet me at dawn at the designated place,” he said.
They did.
He whooped them to frenzy.
“My Beloved Gang of Thieves, the prize is ours! Follow me to the Big House!”
They stormed.
He watched from home, his claws tapping his chin in thought. He pulled his hair.
The town was not awake. Had they known, they would have skipped breakfast, gone there first, and stemmed the tide.
The rest is history.
It is re-written in books, but there are more of us. We will write it right.
