I didn’t come in on cue
she covered started again
looked at me and nodded
I wasn’t sure
missed it again
red faced and sweating
I jumped in anyway
she adjusted caught up
we finished a whole recital
so I know it can be done
to find and keep your balance
so then
the right someone
I imagine
we could find
to obviate the moment
and in public standing
on one leg
without pants
singing the high notes
waving the arms
and running the country
