I’m just learning about things like the iPhone and computers and the Internet.

But now I’m caught in something like a quandary.

I mean, I can’t tell anymore what’s happening in the world. I don’t know what’s real. I mean, I see videos of the President flying in a plane or fighting crime or driving a truck. Sometimes even he thinks it’s real.

I mean, it’s like Reagan again. Reagan thought he actually fought in a war when it was only a movie and he was a B actor.

I mean, our current guy thinks he stopped wars that never started.

How can I know what’s real, when he says, “I’ll tell you what’s real,” and his voice shows he doesn’t know himself.

I mean, I read stories on the Internet. I use the computer. I think it’s called Facebook, but there are other flavors too.

There are a lot of stories, tear-jerkers, and I cry.

I cry a lot.

But, slow as I am to figure things out, I began to get suspicious. I mean, how many biker gangs actually swoop in to rescue homeless children or battered women? What are the odds?

For me it was like a tipping point. The stories all started to sound like they were written by the same person. Somebody who figured at what point to make me cry, and then summarizing with a little too much repetition like someone who went to writing school and learned the formula, so you don’t need a real person anymore to write the story, just the formula.

And then I noticed something else.

I’m starting to sound like them, write like them. They’ve messed with my brain and implanted the formula.

I write too much short, easy to read for those people that audience.

Then I thought, I’m living in science fiction where robots take over the world and we can’t tell anymore who is and who isn’t.

I’m almost afraid to go to sleep at night, because then I can’t control my mind and I don’t know who or what takes over.

No wonder I like to eat breakfast in the morning when I get up. It’s a distraction to give me a break.

But then I read the label, and I’m eating artificial food.
